SLAYER's KERRY KING To Guest On INDIE 103.1's 'Chaos' Tonight
July 19, 2006SLAYER guitarist Kerry King will be the special guest of Indie 103.1's "Chaos" metal show DJ Full Metal Jackie tonight (July 19) at 10:00 p.m. PST. He will be phoning in to discuss the band's current Unholy Alliance tour — also featuring LAMB OF GOD, MASTODON, CHILDREN OF BODOM and THINE EYES BLEED — which will be stopping at the Long Beach Arena this Saturday, July 22. Jackie will also give listeners a chance to win tickets for the show along with many prize packs and DVDs of each band featured on this bill. SLAYER's new album, "Christ Illusion", is scheduled for release on August 8, 2006 via American Recordings/Warner Bros. Records.
"Christ Illusion" is SLAYER's first new studio album since 2001, and the first recorded by the band's original line-up — Kerry King (guitar) Tom Araya (bass, vocals) Jeff Hanneman (guitars) Dave Lombardo (drums) — since 1990's "Seasons In The Abyss". "Christ Illusion" was produced by Josh Abraham and executive-produced by Rick Rubin.
Henry Rollins recently reported on his web site that SLAYER would tape an appearance on his Independent Film Channel program "The Henry Rollins Show". According to the IFC show's web site, the episode featuring SLAYER will premiere on July 29.
